Location: Brighton, CO with regular field presence throughout Adams and Weld Counties

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (must have flexibility)

Compensation: $105,000–$115,000 DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety & Compliance Coordinator to serve as the organization's lead safety professional and subject matter expert for MSHA and OSHA compliance. This role will oversee safety programs, provide compliance guidance, conduct training, investigate incidents, and help strengthen a proactive safety culture across field operations.

The ideal candidate has strong MSHA experience, solid OSHA knowledge, and the ability to build credibility with field teams while driving continuous improvement in safety performance and regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance

• Serve as the primary resource for MSHA and OSHA compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable MSHA and OSHA regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.
• Support and represent the organization during inspections and audits.

Safety Program Management

• Develop, implement, and improve safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Lead hazard identification and risk reduction initiatives.
• Maintain emergency response and incident prevention programs.
• Partner with leadership to establish consistent safety expectations

Field Leadership & Training

• Conduct field inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Provide coaching and safety guidance to employees and supervisors.
• Lead new-hire orientations, refresher training, and toolbox talks.
• Maintain training records and certification tracking.

Incident Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace injuries and incidents.
• Conduct investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action follow-up.
• Maintain OSHA logs, MSHA documentation, SDS records, and safety files.

Qualifications

Required

• 3–5 years of safety experience in mining, aggregate, construction, excavation, industrial, or related environments.
• Must have strong MSHA and OSHA compliance knowledge.
• Experience conducting safety training, audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Ability to work independently as the organization's primary safety resource.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred

• MSHA Part 48 Trainer Certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation.
