Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, hardscape construction, and landscape maintenance.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mulching, trimming, pruning, and weed control to keep properties pristine
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including excavators, skid steer, power tools, and snow plows safely and efficiently
- Identify plants and trees for proper care, pruning, and health assessment; manage pest control and pesticide applications responsibly
- Maintain safety protocols at all times, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies during outdoor work
- Support team leadership by supervising crew members, assigning tasks, and ensuring project deadlines are met
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or related fields
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and hardscape materials
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators skid steer and snow plows when necessary
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, lawn care, tree trimming and garden maintenance
- Familiarity with safety protocol adherence and pesticide management practices
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required
- Valid driver’s license; construction experience is a plus but not mandatory
