Lake Regional Health System is looking for an outgoing, professional Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) to join our clinic. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Escorts patients to the exam room and documents chief complaints
- Documents patient care in the electronic medical record
- Assists physician and/or nurse practitioner by providing assessment, treatment, testing, and education for the patients in the practice.
- Greets patients warmly and respectfully, demonstrating compassion
- Responds in a timely manner and keeps patients informed while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all privacy and protected health regulations.
- Assists physician/nurse practitioner with in-clinic procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting for at least 3–5 years.
You will be required to test for credentials within 90 days from the hire date using one of the approved credentialing bodies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) / Website: www.aama-ntl.org,
- American Medical Technologists (AMT) / Website: www.americanmedtech.org
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA) / Website: www.nhanow.com
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)/ Website: www.nahpusa.com
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) / Certified Clinic Medical Assistant (CCMA) credentials desired
