Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Prior experience in security is highly valued. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment through surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention measures. The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, employees, and all assets of Lake Mac Casino Resort and Racing, while providing superior Customer Service.

Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or activities
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and effective conflict management techniques
- Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for management
- Control access points by checking credentials and verifying visitor identities
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during critical incidents
- Provide first class service to all internal & external guests.
- Patrol property (casino, hotel, parking lots, and race track area) to ensure the safety of all employees and guests.
- Respond to radio and emergency calls as needed.
- Perform First Aid, CPR, and AED as needed, and maintain certification in these areas when necessary.
- Conduct money transfers and table fills/credits, as well as monitor cash drops as needed.
- Perform all post duties assigned, to include writing incident reports.
- Work closely with other departments and maintain open communication with all employees.
- Ability to stand up to 100% of the time.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security roles is preferred
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to receive a Nebraska Level 1 Gaming License.
- Must demonstrate interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service experience.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
