Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology and Oncology
Days | Full Time | 8:00 am-5:00 pm | Monday-Friday | No Weekends | No Holidays

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our oncology team in a highly impactful coordination role. This position is less hands-on with patients but critical to ensuring accurate infusion treatments and schedules—directly supporting positive patient outcomes.

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare support professional to join our clinic team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday. You will collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff in a team-oriented environment, guiding patients through their healthcare journey with compassion and efficiency.
This job is working with primarily oncology patients. Employees are expected to be able to multitask and utilize different EMR systems as well as spreadsheets. This individual will have job duties including but not limited to: patient education including chemotherapy teaching, rooming patients and taking H&P, vitals including height and weight, obtaining medical records, taking and answering phone calls, inputting lab orders, chemotherapy orders that includes calculations, and collaboration with other physician offices as well as the infusion clinic.
How you'll contribute
RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential Functions
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for:
Requires a nurse who is very detailed oriented in regard to Oncology Infusion orders.
Experience in H & O is preferred, open to training.
RN with critical thinking skills, takes ownership, has initiative, dependability and accuracy are essential for this role.
This role will be less hand on the patient; however, critical to the patient obtaining correct infusion medication and schedules.
This position will review the Dr’s orders for treatment and then prepare the format that is needed for the pharmacy team to order and administer the medication per Dr’s orders
Education:
Associate’s degree in nursing Required; bachelor’s degree in nursing Preferred
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
License:
Current RN to practice in the state of Kentucky.
