Program Description
The Career and Professional Programs division seeks a part-time CDA Program Coordinator to support the implementation of the CDA Infant/Toddler certification program. The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in student support, employer engagement, and instructional coordination to ensure successful completion of CDA requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will:
- Support the student recruitment process, including outreach and student selection.
- Support students in completing CDA professional portfolios, including documentation and submission readiness
- Identify and maintain relationships with early childhood employers to secure fieldwork/observation sites
- Identify, coordinate, and liaise with PD Specialists to conduct CDA verification visits
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding program requirements and milestones
- Support the instructor with curriculum development, instructional materials, and course logistics
- Assist with classroom management, attendance tracking, and student engagement
- Monitor student progress, including attendance, participation, and completion of key milestones.
- Share concerns early with the Program Manager and Instructor, so issues can be addressed quickly.
- Support program operations, including scheduling, coordination, and reporting
- Participate in program meetings, orientations, and debriefs as required
Qualifications
Required:
BA/MS in Early Childhood Education or equivalent degree in related field
Experience working in early childhood education, workforce development, or a related field
Familiarity with CDA certification requirements, portfolios, and verification processes
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to support diverse adult learners and work collaboratively with instructors and partners
Comfort working in hybrid learning environments and using basic instructional technologies
Preferred:
Experience coordinating training or certification programs
Experience working with employer partners or fieldwork placements
Background in student advising, program coordination, or academic suppor
