Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
Pay: $15.00–$16.00/hour

The Lafayette Family YMCA is looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized individual to join our Early Childhood team as Part-Time Front Desk Staff.

This position is often one of the first faces our families see and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and positive environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with families and children, be able to multitask in a busy environment, and be willing to step into a classroom when additional support is needed.

Responsibilities Include

• Greet families, children, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist families with routine questions and direct concerns to the appropriate staff member.
• Answer phones and assist with daily communication.
• Assist with child pick-up and end-of-day procedures.
• Complete basic front desk and administrative tasks.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
• Multitask while remaining patient and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
• Provide classroom and ratio coverage when needed.
• Assist with other Early Childhood Program needs as assigned.
