Position Title: Scheduling Assistant

Shift: 8:00am-5pm
Reports to: Production & Inventory Control Manager

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with the scheduling and coordination of workflow within or between departments of manufacturing and production plant based on order demand.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate job orders based on new customer orders entered throughout the day.
- Print job labels as needed for customer orders and upon request from floor personnel.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Shipping, and Sales departments to address and resolve any issues that may affect scheduling.
- Process and ship customer sample requests in a timely manner.
- Issue recurring monthly jobs for all departments, typically around the middle of each month.
- Manage and report scrap materials as required.
- Maintain label inventory and notify the Purchasing department when reorders are necessary.
- Develop proficiency with PMT systems and assist in identifying, correcting, and preventing inventory discrepancies.
- Learn to interpret and utilize the Allocation Report to assist with scheduling and provide backup support as needed.
- Support the Sales team by becoming familiar with responding to customer inquiries as a backup.
- Cross-train on the F&W schedule, including how to schedule jobs, adjusting hours, and set up job times, to provide backup support as needed.
- Learn how to apply ship dates to customer orders to assist with fulfillment when necessary.
- Become proficient in entering the monthly Deere forecast into Demand Solutions to provide backup support as needed.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications:
- Must be proficient with computers, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external contacts or various levels
- Previous experience with Epicor or other ERP system is preferred
- Must be process-oriented, but willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- At least 2 years of experience working in an office position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous scheduling experience would be beneficial
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl
- Environment is climate controlled; however, will need to go on the production floor frequently and that is not climate-controlled
- Production floor is typically loud
- Must wear required PPE and follow dress code standards, especially when going out on the production floor
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
