Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods when applicable.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and respect among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities with strong behavior management techniques and effective classroom management skills to foster positive behavior.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of child development progress through observations and standardized testing where appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and school-wide initiatives to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, childcare best practices, and new educational methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Valid first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote active learning and developmental milestones.
- Prior experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
