Position Overview
Manage, develop, and execute sales activities to drive business growth, expand market presence, and build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new customers and target markets aligned with company capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
- Represent the organization with customer quality, engineering, purchasing, and management teams.
- Document customer interactions and provide meeting and travel reports.
- Oversee the estimating process to ensure timely quotations and follow-up activities that support new business acquisition.
- Manage customer service activities to ensure accurate order entry, contract review, and ERP system compliance.
- Develop and maintain business development pipelines, sales forecasts, and management reports.
- Analyze sales trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Create and implement strategic sales plans that support company objectives.
- Review market pricing and customer requirements to ensure competitive positioning.
- Prepare quotations, sales contracts, and RFQ documentation.
- Communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to management.
- Negotiate long-term agreements and commercial terms with customers.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and other departments to support customer requirements.
- Coordinate participation in trade shows, industry events, and business development activities.
- Maintain and update sales presentations and marketing materials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop customer relationships and close new business opportunities.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 quality environments.
- Familiarity with quoting processes, contract review, forecasting, and customer account management.
Work Environment
- Regular travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events as required.
- Combination of office and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
