Our company designs and manufactures high-performance valves and flow-control solutions that help customers improve process reliability, maximize uptime, maintain regulatory compliance, and operate safely in demanding environments. From upstream production sites and gathering systems to pipelines, terminals, refineries, and processing facilities, our products play a vital role in controlling and protecting critical operations.
We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and delivering engineered flow-control solutions. You will work directly with oil and gas operators, EPC firms, distributors, pipeline companies, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and industrial end users throughout your assigned territory.
This is a field-based role focused on customer visits, technical consultations, and business development activities within the territory, with occasional travel for meetings, training, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned territory through account development, distributor management, and new business acquisition
- Develop strong relationships with end users, engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and channel partners
- Identify customer needs related to flow control, process reliability, safety, maintenance, and system performance
- Recommend valve and flow-control solutions based on customer applications, operating conditions, and technical requirements
- Conduct on-site customer visits, product presentations, technical reviews, and solution demonstrations
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, industry events, referrals, and strategic territory planning
- Work closely with plant managers, maintenance managers, reliability engineers, operations teams, procurement professionals, and project engineers
- Collaborate with internal engineering, application specialists, operations, and customer service teams to deliver successful project outcomes
- Prepare quotations, manage sales opportunities, maintain CRM activity, and provide accurate sales forecasts
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, regulatory requirements, and competitive valve and flow-control technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field)
- 3 years of B2B technical sales experience within valves, flow control, instrumentation, process equipment, industrial manufacturing, automation, or oil & gas industries
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical specifications and process applications
- Consultative sales approach with excellent problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based territory role
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer management skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
