Summary

The purpose of this position is to gain a basic knowledge of the HIM

department in the areas of scanning and analysis. This role is not the

Primary Individual Accountable For The Responsibilities Listed Below But

will serve as a back up to each of the primary technicians assigned to

these roles.

Responsibilities

• Timely retrieval of all discharged patient records inclusive of
  
  

inpatient acute care, inpatient rehab, swing bed, observation,

outpatient surgery and emergency room visits.

• Efficiently scans the above medical records into the patient\'s
  
  

electronic health record and properly assigns document mnemonics

• accurately analyzes each patient record to ensure all necessary
  
  

documents are present and any missing electronic signatures are

identified.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent.

Previous medical office experience inclusive of document management

beneficial.
