Front Counter Associate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order taking and cash handling
• Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front counter area, including bussing tables and food stations
• Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks in the café or quick service environment as needed
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive atmosphere
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants will help you excel in this role
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a friendly attitude
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Previous experience in cashiering or serving in a café or grocery store environment is advantageous

Pay: $15.50 - $21.50 per hour
