Position Summary
The Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) assists the instructor & Laboratory Coordinator with preparation & operation of laboratory classes whether in-person or virtual. The TA2 provides instruction during the laboratory. The TA2 may be called upon to assist with grading of laboratory assignments/quizzes and other clerical work related to the laboratory class experience. TA2 applicants must have taken and passed the course they would TA for with a grade “B” or higher.
The Laboratory Coordinator is the direct supervisor, and in consultation with the course instructor makes the final hire decision.
The TA2 must be able to work a laboratory section for the full time the class lab runs, plus allow time for preparations, meetings with the instructor or Laboratory Coordinator, grading and other operational activities related to the running of the lab & lecture.
After completing the online portion of the application you will receive email containing a copy of the Time Reporting Policy Agreement. - Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2025 quarter
- Should be able to start work on or before required start date September 22
- Must have taken BIOL111/L within last 4 years and passed with a grade of B or higher or been previous TA2 for this course in last 4 years
