Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy linens, furniture, or cleaning equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols, including inventory control, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
- Implement hotel emergency procedures efficiently in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Use janitorial and industrial cleaning equipment effectively to deliver high-quality custodial services across all designated areas.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques, including the use of chemical agents and floor care equipment.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is advantageous.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or processes is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to hospitality standards with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
