Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounts Payable Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization.

Duties
- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and payment requests.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain organized files for all accounts payable documents.
- Assist with month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Paychex for efficient transaction management.
- Support payroll processing as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Participate in audits related to accounts payable functions and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in benefits administration related to employee reimbursements or vendor payments.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping principles is essential.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices is a plus, especially within governmental accounting contexts.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken, Paychex, or similar applications is highly desirable.
- Experience in public accounting or payroll processing will be considered an asset.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
