Position Summary
We are looking for an Art Supervisor for our LOCALE label. The Art Supervisor reports directly to the Art Director and is both a leader and a contributor: a creative professional who guides the vision of the brand while remaining hands-on in apparel and headwear graphics. This role combines the ability to inspire and manage a team of designers with the skill to personally develop graphics that capture LOCALE’s unique aesthetic. The Art Supervisor sets creative direction through mood boards, cultural insights, and trend awareness while also producing impactful, relevant artwork. This role requires someone who can balance big-picture vision with detail-driven execution—leading the team while actively contributing to the creative work.
This role requires the Art Supervisor to be on-site 3 days per week in our Denver, CO office.

What You’ll Do
- Assist in directing LOCALE’s graphic vision by building mood boards and providing graphic direction that positions LOCALE at the forefront of the outdoor industry for custom logo headwear and apparel.
- Maintain clear communication with the greater L2 Brands Art Director on team development, calendars, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with Merchandising on apparel and headwear sample creation, reviewing and selecting art, and overseeing preparation of production files.
- Create and oversee the development of Graphic Catalogs, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and designed to be both high-quality and informative.
- Design relevant and engaging apparel and headwear graphics that reflect the LOCALE aesthetic while maintaining alignment with L2’s brand standards.
- Stay current on surf and snow culture, graphic trends, and design techniques to keep LOCALE’s creative direction fresh and relevant.
- Design innovative apparel and headwear graphics aligned with seasonal direction, incorporating new techniques and materials to keep the brand fresh and relevant each season.
- Maintain a positive attitude and lead by example while fostering strong working relationships with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, Production Art, Production).
- Collaborate with Production on graphic-related sampling and testing (distressing, color, finishes, etc.) to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Proactively manage design development deadlines through effective use of the design calendar.
- Maintain a deep understanding of L2’s various product lines and brand platforms, ensuring that LOCALE’s graphics support the broader portfolio.
- Confidently present and communicate creative vision to senior leadership, articulating how designs support brand direction and market opportunities.
- 4 years of graphic design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fashion design, or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with destination-driven retail (tourism, national parks, mountain towns) and outdoor lifestyle markets (hiking, climbing, camping).
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to company vision, values and brand
- Full-time position, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required
- This is a hybrid position, with expectations to be onsite 1-3 days per week
- Travel up to 20%
- Regular laptop and phone use
- Light to moderate lifting
