Title: 3rd Shift Welding Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA
Duration:12 Months (Possible extension depending on performance & client needs)
3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
3rd Shift Welding Manufacturing Engineer – Davenport Works (Fabrication Department) Schedule
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Overtime required
• Weekend coverage required based on production needs
Primary Responsibilities
• Support 3rd shift production operations to maintain uptime and productivity
• Assist operators, maintenance teams, and salaried staff with production issues
• Troubleshoot:
• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) issues
• Automated welding processes
• Manual welding processes
• Train operators on processes and equipment
• Support implementation and execution of new and existing manufacturing processes
• Develop and maintain process documentation
• Participate in process improvement and project-related activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with manual and robotic welding systems
• Fanuc robotics welding experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills for automated and manual manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Comfortable working in ambiguous or changing situations
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to follow up on work tickets, action items, and team communications
• Strong documentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly:
• Excel
• Outlook
Ideal Candidate Profile
A hands-on manufacturing engineer who enjoys supporting production in a fast-paced environment, has welding automation experience (preferably Fanuc robotics), can quickly troubleshoot issues during off-shift operations, and is comfortable taking ownership of production support activities with minimal supervision.
