Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing, collections, and vendor payments. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships with both vendors and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Process and verify vendor invoices
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies
- Track and manage due dates to ensure timely payments
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Monitor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Support audits and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of AP/AR or general accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (ERP experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in construction or related industries
- Familiarity with job costing or project-based accounting
