Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, edging, mulching, and fertilizing
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health management
- Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds
- Assist with snow plowing and hardscape maintenance during seasonal changes
- Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience with groundskeeping or landscaping tasks
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools and landscaping equipment operation
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, tree care, and lawn care
- Ability to identify plants and troubleshoot irrigation or horticultural issues
- Knowledge of pesticide management and safety protocol adherence
- Familiarity with hardscape features such as pathways or patios is a plus
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and operating equipment over extended periods
