What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Accountant position at KWEIT, MANTELL & DELUCIA, LLP?
Our organization is looking for a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly motivated, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently or in a team environment. A minimum of three years of experience at a public accounting firm is required.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance with firm policies and procedures
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, fiduciaries, S and C Corps
- Prepare projections for year-end tax strategies
- Maintain general ledger accounts and financial records
- Prepare year-end closings (including journal entries)
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices
- Perform reviews and compilations of financial statements
- Communicate directly with clients and build client relationships
Skills:
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Lacerte Tax, a plus
