We are seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize autonomous AI agents that enhance decision‑making, streamline workflows, and integrate with key logistics systems across our Sea Logistics organization. This position plays a critical role in driving intelligent automation and ensuring safe, reliable AI operations at scale.

We are seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize autonomous AI agents that enhance decision‑making, streamline workflows, and integrate with key logistics systems across our Sea Logistics organization. This position plays a critical role in driving intelligent automation and ensuring safe, reliable AI operations at scale.
How you create impact
- Design and develop autonomous AI agents with reasoning, planning, decision‑making, and task‑execution capabilities.
- Build agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, ReAct, or custom architectures.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems including TMS, ERP, CRM, WMS, APIs, databases, and event‑driven platforms.
- Implement guardrails, validation layers, fallback logic, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls for safe automation.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and explainability mechanisms to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Optimize agent performance for reliability, accuracy, latency, and operational cost.
- Conduct benchmarking and scenario‑based validation tests in real business environments.
- Prototype and evaluate new agentic use cases across customer service, operations, planning, and reporting.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and operations teams to deliver scalable agentic solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical architectures and automation capabilities.
- 3 years experience building agentic systems and integrating with enterprise APIs, databases, and logistics platforms required.
- Strong Python engineering skills; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of freight forwarding or logistics operations is preferred, but candidates may develop business knowledge on the job.
- Knowledge of RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, model tuning, and LLM orchestration.
- Experience with workflow automation, guardrails, validation layers, and risk‑mitigation logic.
- Familiarity with event‑driven architectures, SQL/NoSQL databases, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Comfortable with 4 days a week onsite in our Detroit, MI office and 1 day work from home
