Role Description The Travel Inpatient Pharmacist role is a contract, on-site position based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. The pharmacist will provide comprehensive inpatient medication management, including verifying and dispensing medications, reviewing physician orders for appropriateness, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to optimize pharmacotherapy, monitoring patient medication profiles, and providing clinical consultation on dosing, interactions, and therapeutic alternatives. The role may also involve sterile and non-sterile compounding, medication reconciliation, formulary management support, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The pharmacist is expected to maintain accurate documentation, uphold patient safety protocols, and adapt to varying workflows typical of a travel assignment.

- Review chemotherapy treatment plans
- Evaluate hazardous and non-hazardous IV infusion preparations
- Provide infusion medication education to patients
- Participate in infusion reaction management
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective patient care
