Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Property Tax Compliance Directors to assist in establishing operational objectives and work plans to ensure the compliance functions that occur over the tax year calendar are completed on a timely basis
- Overseeing, coordinating, and managing the work of team leaders to ensure the timely delivery of client service and meeting of deadlines
- Assisting in preparing and filing property tax returns, gathering and reviewing assessment notices, and procuring, approving, and processing of property tax bills
- Interfacing with client contacts and communicating progress of deliverables
- Mentoring staff on processes, analyses, reports, and deliverables
- Assisting in the development, maintenance, and in the assessment of the overall and individual goals of compliance team members
- Ensuring property tax compliance team provides superb customer services to our clients
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of property tax related experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant property tax compliance experience, including leasing property tax compliance experience
- Familiarity with property tax compliance software programs, with an emphasis on PowerPlan software/system experience and familiarity
- In-depth knowledge of property tax filing requirements and procedures of various state and local jurisdictions
- Excellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience leading a team of professionals
