Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Establishing operational objectives and work plans/work flows to ensure compliance functions that occur over the tax year calendar are completed on a timely basis
- Directing and overseeing team leaders to ensure the timely delivery of client service
- Interfacing with client contacts and communicating progress of deliverables
- Mentoring staff on processes, analyses, reports, and deliverables
- Developing, maintaining, and assessing the overall and individual goals of the compliance team members
- Ensuring property tax team and its members provide best-in-class customer service to our clients
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of property tax related experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant property tax compliance experience, including leasing property tax compliance experience
- Familiarity with property tax compliance software programs, with an emphasis on PowerPlan software/system experience and familiarity
- In-depth knowledge of property tax filing requirements and procedures of various state and local jurisdictions
- Excellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience leading a team of professionals
- Excellent relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
