Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards.
- Supervise and guide housekeeping staff, providing training and support to maintain high-performance levels.
- Monitor cleaning processes, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry services, and waste disposal, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Identify areas for improvement in cleaning procedures and implement best practices for custodial operations.
- Coordinate with management to schedule cleaning tasks around guest check-ins and check-outs for seamless service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by inspecting equipment and maintaining proper sanitation protocols.
- Document inspection results, report deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions promptly.
Experience
- Proven supervising or management experience in housekeeping or custodial services within hotels or hospitality environments.
- Extensive janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with laundry operations and linen management in a hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of hotel standards, hospitality practices, and custodial procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and feedback.
