About Kreation Pets

Kreation Pets is the newest extension of the Kreation Organic family — bringing the same commitment to clean, wholesome ingredients we’re known for in our juice bars and cafés, now to your four-legged family members. Our standalone pet store offers gourmet, human-grade pet food, bone broth, superfood treats, pet-friendly desserts, and more — all curated with the same love and intention as everything else we make.

We’re looking for a passionate, knowledgeable Store Manager who genuinely loves animals, understands pet nutrition, and knows how to connect with pet parents in a meaningful way. This isn’t your typical retail job — this is an opportunity to build something special from the ground up.

About the Role

As Store Manager of Kreation Pets, you’ll be the face of the brand and the heartbeat of the store. You’ll lead a small team, drive sales through genuine guest engagement and product education, and ensure the store runs smoothly day-to-day. You’ll report to operations leadership and work closely with the broader Kreation team.

The ideal candidate is equal parts animal lover, nutrition nerd, and natural salesperson — someone who lights up talking about the difference between raw-fed and kibble-fed dogs, and who can turn a first-time visitor into a loyal regular.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Guest Experience

• Welcome every guest warmly and create a memorable, personalized shopping experience for pets and their people
• Drive sales through product knowledge, storytelling, and genuine recommendations — never pushy, always consultative
• Educate pet parents on the benefits of human-grade, gourmet, and functional pet nutrition
• Build a loyal customer base through relationship-building, follow-up, and community presence
• Meet and exceed daily and weekly sales goals; track performance and share updates with leadership
• Upsell and cross-sell thoughtfully based on each pet’s needs, diet, and preferences

Product Knowledge & Nutrition

• Maintain deep, current knowledge of all Kreation Pets products — ingredients, sourcing, benefits, and feeding guidelines
• Stay informed on dog and cat nutrition trends, raw feeding, functional ingredients, and gut health
• Guide customers through product selection for puppies, senior pets, pets with allergies, sensitivities, or specific health goals
• Represent the Kreation brand philosophy: clean ingredients, transparency, and wellness first

Team Leadership

• Hire, onboard, train, and develop a small team of sales associates
• Set daily goals and expectations; check in with team throughout the shift
• Lead by example on the floor — you’re always selling, always engaging
• Document performance issues and partner with HR on coaching and corrective action as needed
• Schedule staff to align with store volume; submit for approval by deadlines

Store Operations

• Open and close the store according to brand standards: stocked, clean, visually appealing, and guest-ready
• Manage inventory, ordering, and par levels; minimize waste and flag discrepancies promptly
• Submit accurate EOD reports daily, including sales, labor, and any outstanding items
• Maintain merchandising and display standards that reflect the Kreation Pets brand aesthetic
• Ensure all team members maintain a neat, professional, and on-brand appearance
• Coordinate with Kreation’s operations and marketing teams on events, promotions, and new product launches

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure proper scheduling with no unapproved overtime and compliant meal and rest breaks
• Upload documentation, waivers, and violations to Paylocity accurately and on time
• Partner with HR on onboarding new hires, performance reviews, and terminations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and health-code-compliant store environment at all times

Who You Are

• You are a genuine animal lover — dogs, cats, or both — and your passion comes through in every conversation
• You have a working knowledge of pet nutrition: raw diets, limited ingredient foods, functional supplements, and what to avoid
• You are a natural salesperson who builds trust quickly and loves helping people find the right solution
• You’re organized, dependable, and take pride in running a tight, beautiful store
• You can lead a small team with confidence and hold people accountable with kindness
• You align with the Kreation ethos: organic, intentional, community-driven, and wellness-forward

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail or specialty food/pet retail management experience
• Demonstrated sales performance in a consultative, relationship-based environment
• Knowledge of pet nutrition, raw feeding, or functional pet health (formal training or self-taught — we just want genuine expertise)
• Experience managing or mentoring a small team
• Familiarity with Paylocity or a similar scheduling/HR platform is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Must love animals — non-negotiable 🐾

Compensation

• $22 – $27 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, on-site at our Kreation Pets location in Santa Monica, CA
