Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for a variety of dog breeds and other small animals.
- Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures.
- Utilize animal handling and restraint techniques effectively to manage pets of all temperaments.
- Assess each pet’s coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or pet care advice.
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with basic pet care tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding treatments.
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of your personal workstation, grooming tools, and shared working areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional pet grooming experience.
- Independence: Must be able to completely manage and execute full bath and haircut services from start to finish on your own.
- Technical Skills: Strong foundational grooming abilities; advanced scissoring techniques are highly preferred.
- Temperament: A genuine love for animals paired with exceptional patience and a gentle, compassionate approach to handling pets of all temperaments.
- Mobility: Must have reliable transportation and the willingness to travel from store to store as scheduled to support our operations.
- Availability: Commitment to a five-day workweek, which must include Saturdays.
- Work Authorization: Must possess valid, legal working status.
