Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive user and service manuals for EV chargers and generator sets.
- Collaborate with engineering, product design, and service teams to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Translate complex technical data into clear, concise, and user-friendly content suitable for end customers and field technicians.
- Manage version control and document configuration to align with project updates and revisions.
- Create illustrations, diagrams, and other visual content using design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Creo, CAD tools) — an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ensure all documents adhere to company branding, layout standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Review, edit, and proofread documentation to maintain consistency and high-quality standards.
- Participate in design and development reviews to anticipate documentation needs.
Requirements
- 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the automotive or engine manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as:
- PTC Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, or other industry-standard documentation tools.
- Experience with design and CAD tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Creo, for creating technical illustrations and design visuals (advantage but not mandatory).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and simplify complex mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
