Job Summary: Controls systems engineer for supporting development of controls features, software build integration, and validation of Core 2 software intended for Komatsu application. Investigate controls issues with customers in the field, engines in the test cell and on demonstrative equipment; document work processes and assist with the preparation of review material.
Responsibilities:
- Create, Maintain, and perform regression tests for customer Komatsu Software.
- Testing, configuration, and release of controls software which involves new feature introduction and well as current feature support.
- Submit DCRs to document software issues discovered in the field.
- Create and maintain regression tests for features used by Komatsu.
- Systems level understanding and ability to troubleshoot
- complex controls issues using appropriate tools and test benches.
- Support FMET (Failure Modes Effect Testing) testing.
- Support engine/vehicle troubleshooting on related diagnostic fault codes.
- Participate in DV and PV test results reviews.
- System Test/Documentation/Support tasks.
- Perform test plans by using available tools including Calterm, INSITE, PCAN, and Load box.
- Automated testing, using ACCEPT bench.
- Create, maintain, and perform engineering calibration tuning for current KOMATSU products.
- Support engineering calibration validation for current
- Create and maintain calibration design documentation.
- Be active member of cross functional team and communicate with the end customer.
- Perform engineering calibration tuning using tools including but not limited to CalbertNG and CDM.
- Core2 component development and familiarity developing MATLAB/Simulink, and hand coded C components
- Familiarity debugging controls issues using Lauterbach debugger
- Bachelors or master’s in Electronics, Electrical or Computer engineering or related field with 5 – 8 years of experience
- Expert in Controls/Embedded software development
- Expert in verification using C, C , Python, LabView, MATLAB /Simulink, CAN, TCP/IP, ARINC protocol.
- Good knowledge of Test bench handling
- Good Knowledge of Version control system Git, Clear Case
- Good knowledge of CAN Protocol and J1939 protocols
- Proven ability to work with global delivery team
- Problem solving and debugging skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Self-motivated and passion for leading-edge technologies
