Press Operator

Pay: $19.67 per hour
SECOND SHIFT PREMIUM of $0.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime including Fridays
Schedule: SECOND SHIFT Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts) 3:30pm - 2:00am.
Job Summary: The press operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of presses. Each job must run with safety, accuracy and timeliness.
Job Duties:
- Performs operations on assigned machines.
- Working knowledge of drill and brake presses, tube bender and shear.
- Knowledge of large, automated press with feeder lines.
- Will perform routine die or uni-tool setups.
- Uses simple measurement instruments to check work.
- Operate a fork lift.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have prior manufacturing experience obtained through work and/or school programs.
- Must have press brake experience.
- Experience with drill presses, shears, benders and laser cutters.
- Fabrication experience is helpful.
- Must be able to read blue prints and use measuring tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to reach, twist/turn, push/pull, stoop and bend.
- Repetitive hand/wrist movement and forearm rotation.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to step on to and drive a fork truck.
- Must be able to withstand heat and/or cold work environments.
