ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager, Technical Accounting & Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s accounting policies, financial reporting, and disclosures comply with U.S. GAAP requirements. This role will serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert, partnering closely with FP&A, Legal, Operations, and external auditors to support complex transactions and evolving business models common to healthcare technology organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Accounting
- Research, interpret, and document accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP for complex transactions, including
- Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and position papers to support audit and regulatory review
- Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the business, leading implementation efforts as needed
Financial Reporting
- Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead preparation of external reporting deliverables.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial disclosures, particularly in regulated healthcare environments
- Support SOX compliance, including documentation and evaluation of accounting controls
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Legal, Revenue Operations, FP&A, and Product teams to evaluate accounting implications of new products, contracts, and pricing models
- Provide accounting guidance on strategic initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements
- Act as a key liaison with external auditors and advisors, managing audit requests and resolving technical issues
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Mentor and review work of senior accountants and other team members
- Drive improvements in accounting policies, close processes, and documentation standards
- Contribute to scaling the accounting function in support of company growth, acquisitions, and potential IPO readiness
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including:
- Public accounting
- Industry experience in technology, SaaS, healthcare, or healthcare technology preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
- Experience with complex revenue recognition models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate accounting conclusions
Preferred
- Experience supporting SEC reporting and/or IPO readiness
- CPA preferred
- Industry experience in technology, SaaS, healthcare, or healthcare technology preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
- Prior people management or strong informal leadership experience
Salary : $135,000 - $160,000
