Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth operations
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage waitlists effectively
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle guest relations gracefully
- Culinary experience or background in food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Familiarity with reservation platforms like OpenTable for efficient table management
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Experience with serving, bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or nightclub service is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
