Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest relations
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest service skills
- Manage guest check-ins and seating arrangements during busy hours to optimize flow and minimize wait times
- Maintain cleanliness of the host/hostess station and dining area to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with basic restaurant operations including POS transactions, bill processing, and cash handling using systems like Micros or Aloha POS
Experience
- Prior host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required
- Strong background in food service and customer service roles demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or guest services can be a plus, highlighting your ability to manage diverse guest needs
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Knowledge of serving techniques, hospitality standards, and phone etiquette enhances your ability to excel in this role
