Responsibilities
- Drive new business development (approximately 70%) through prospecting, networking, and relationship building
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts (approximately 30%)
- Collaborate with customers to understand product requirements, materials, and performance needs
- Partner with internal engineering and production teams to develop custom solutions
- Lead sales efforts from initial engagement through quoting, negotiation, and close
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions to support project development
- Maintain pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer communication
- Support ongoing customer relationships to ensure successful product delivery and satisfaction
- 3 years of experience in technical sales within manufacturing, engineered materials, or industrial environments
- Experience selling custom or engineered solutions (vs. off-the-shelf products)
- Strong ability to communicate with engineers, product development teams, and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to drive new business independently
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex project-based work
- Experience with foam, plastics, polymers, or related materials
- Background in fabrication, converting, or custom manufacturing processes
- Familiarity working with OEM customers or product development teams
- Engineering or technical education/background is a plus
- In-office initially, with potential for flexibility over time
- Approximately 15% travel, primarily regional with limited overnight travel
- Structured ramp-up period (typically 12–24 months to full productivity)
- Long sales cycles involving product development, prototyping, and engineering collaboration

- Base salary: $94,000–$104,000 (flexible for strong candidates)
