Responsibilities:
- Architect the Siemens S7-1500 software foundation used across multiple machine families.
- Define modular control structures, including Function Block libraries, UDTs, and reusable program modules.
- Establish scalable multi-instance architectures that support clean expansion and long-term maintainability.
- Develop deterministic state models, machine modes, and sequence frameworks.
- Implement robust diagnostic layers, fault models, and safety interlocking strategies.
- Build and manage a version-controlled company-wide controls library.
- 8 years of hands-on Siemens TIA Portal development (S7-1500)
- Demonstrated ability to design modular, reusable PLC architectures
- Expert-level knowledge of FBs, UDTs, and multi-instance DB design
- Strong proficiency in Structured Text
- Experience in structuring diagnostics, error models, and system-level fault handling
