Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Direct Hire | Little Canada, MN | $28 - $38/hour
Hours: 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM - Shift differential included
Position Overview
This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a plastics manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will focus on minimizing downtime, supporting production changeovers, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
This position works hands-on with blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and plant systems, performing electrical, mechanical, and fabrication-related maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment and support systems
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on blow molding machinery (injection molding experience a plus)
- Diagnose equipment issues using meters, schematics, manuals, and operator input
- Support equipment setups, changeovers, and startups to achieve quality production
- Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
- Conduct fabrication work, including machining, cutting, and welding as needed
- Install, modify, and test new or existing equipment
- Maintain facility systems to ensure safe plant operation
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
- Work collaboratively with production and leadership to support plant goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Fabrication (machining and welding) experience preferred
- Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus
