Duties
- Assist in framing, drywall installation, and finish carpentry including trim, cabinetry, and door hanging
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete various construction tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Prepare and install concrete forms, rebar, siding, roofing materials, and stucco as needed
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as moving materials, scaffolding setup, and debris removal
- Support restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, and general repairs
- Assist with fabrication of custom components using woodworking or metalworking techniques
- Follow safety protocols consistently to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites
Skills
- Proven experience with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation
- Skilled in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and cabinetry installation
- Proficient with hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders)
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, siding, and flooring installation
- Ability to perform water damage restoration tasks such as mold remediation and plastering effectively
- Experience with plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems or related trades is a plus but not required
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Familiarity with schematics for fixture installation or electrical wiring is advantageous
