The role reports to the Head of SWE and is responsible for managing 5 Firmware engineers while also performing hands-on technical work and coding as required.
In your role as Firmware Engineering Manager at Kohler Ventures you will
- Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.
- Firmware Development Lifecycle Management: Oversee the firmware development process, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Firmware Engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Project Management: Ensure timely delivery of firmware projects with a focus on quality and performance.
- Hands-on technical work: Build firmware that can scale with the business growth of Kohler Ventures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate effective communication between the firmware engineering team and other departments, translating complex firmware concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure firmware reliability and performance.
