recruiting for a full-time Fiscal
Analyst (Payroll)
in
the Finance Department
Under general supervision
of
the
Finance
Director,
this
position
is
responsible
for
performing
professional
fiscal
analysis
and
accounting work for the City which includes, but not limited to:
administering and maintaining all aspects of the City's payroll; analyzing and
reconciling accounts,
ledgers,
and
journal
entries
;
preparing financial
reports;
preparing and
modifying operating
budgets
;
budgeting
and
accounting
for
leases
and
contracts;
developing,
conducting,
and
documenting
audits
The
Finance
Department
has
several
areas
of
Responsibilities
and
is
committed
to providing accurate
and
timely
financial information and support to other City
departments and
citizens
The
Finance Department is
responsible for the financial and
budgetary
operations
of
the City
and
the operations
of
the City's
information
technology services
The
Fiscal
Analyst performs as
an
individual
and
team member in the delivery of providing professional
fiscal
duties requiring advanced accounting and/or budgeting training
and
is
frequently required
to make independent, sound
judgements, and
to work without direct supervision
The Fiscal
Analyst must perform these duties in a manner that reflects positively on
the City and the Department
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) and Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Five to seven years of professional finance, accounting, and/or budgeting experience and at least two years ofexperience in personnel records management; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform[]{}
