Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking experienced MIG Pipe Welders for a long-term pipe fabrication shop in Indianapolis, IN. We are looking for welders with experience welding carbon steel pipe in a production fabrication environment. Candidates must be able to read isometric drawings, produce high-quality welds, and pass a hands-on weld test.

Key Responsibilities
- Weld carbon steel pipe using MIG, RMD, metal core, and flux core processes
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Perform fit-up verification prior to welding
- Complete welds that meet quality and customer specifications
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
- Work closely with pipefitters, supervisors, and quality control personnel
- Follow all shop safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience preferred
- Previous pipe fabrication shop experience preferred
- Experience welding carbon steel pipe
- Experience with MIG, RMD, metal core, and flux core welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Must be able to pass the required weld test
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Required Weld Test
Candidates must successfully complete the following weld test:
- 6" 6G MIG root with flux core cap
- 6" 1G RMD root with metal core fill and cap
Pay / Schedule
- $38.00 per hour
- $120.00 per diem per day worked for qualified travelers residing more than 60 miles from the shop
- 60 hours per week (6/10s)
