Project Manager – Mechanical Construction
Location: Jackson, MS
Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $115,000 - $150,000 (DOE)
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale mechanical and plumbing construction projects throughout the Jackson market. This individual will be responsible for overseeing project execution from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining strong client relationships, driving financial performance, ensuring schedule adherence, and supporting regional growth initiatives.
This is a high-visibility leadership role for a true project management professional who understands the operational, financial, and relationship aspects of successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of mechanical and plumbing construction projects
- Maintain project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and profitability targets
- Monitor labor productivity and provide feedback to project teams and field leadership
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Represent company interests during project meetings and client interactions
- Ensure project schedules, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Coordinate closely with field supervision to ensure successful project execution
- Identify opportunities for additional work and assist in business development efforts
- Support regional growth through relationship building and client engagement
- Drive a collaborative, team-oriented project culture focused on accountability and results
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction, plumbing construction, or related MEP projects
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
- Strong understanding of construction cost control and forecasting
- Experience leading client-facing meetings and maintaining owner relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across operations, field teams, and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects
- Background in business development and client relationship management
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required with relevant experience
