About The Role
We’re seeking a licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our commercial mechanical team in the Grand Rapids area. In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings — working closely with HVAC and piping crews to deliver high-quality installations that meet all code requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings
- Install piping, valves, fittings, fixtures, and other plumbing components
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures
- Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes
- Collaborate with supervisors and other trades for scheduling and materials
- Accurately complete daily timesheets, material logs, and as-builts
- Valid Michigan Journeyman Plumber License
- 3–5 years of commercial/industrial plumbing experience
- Proficient in copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, soldering, and brazing
- Knowledge of backflow systems, grease traps, commercial water heaters
- Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined or wet spaces
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Field-based role throughout Grand Rapids and surrounding areas
- Work may involve wet environments, elevated workspaces, and confined areas
- Must adhere to all company and jobsite safety policies
