Wage Range: $30–$40/hour (DOE)

Overview
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Low Temperature Field Technician to service and maintain industrial refrigeration systems in industries such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemical plants, and recreational ice facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair Freon and ammonia refrigeration systems (100–5,000 HP)
- Troubleshoot electrical and control systems (including VFDs and PLCs)
- Mentor apprentices and ensure job safety compliance
- Maintain accurate truck inventory and complete job documentation
- Interface with customers and provide technical recommendations
- Support sales with scopes for retrofits, upgrades, or system enhancements
- 5 years of industrial refrigeration/HVACR experience
- Experience with reciprocating/screw compressors, 1 & 2-stage systems, liquid overfeed, CPR/HPR
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and motor alignment skills
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA PSM, and RMP standards
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to wear a respirator and work flexible schedules, including weekends/holidays
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
- EPA Universal (required)
- OSHA-10 (within 6 months)
- RETA 1&2, CARO, or CIRO certifications (preferred)
