The Assembly Helper assists with tools, materials, and basic assembly tasks while maintaining safety and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
System Assembly Support
- Assist with assembling and aligning pipe systems, supports, hangers, valves, and components
- Follow work instructions and assist in reading basic assembly drawings
- Support measurement and layout tasks under supervision
- Safely use hand tools and power tools under guidance
- Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Assist in interpreting basic technical drawings and schematics
- Learn measurements, tolerances, and component orientation
- Assist with pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing
- Help inspect systems for leaks, defects, or malfunctions
- Support troubleshooting and corrective actions as directed
- Follow all safety regulations and company SOPs
- Use required PPE and follow lockout/tagout procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Assist with recording materials used and work performed
- Support completion of QA/QC checklists and documentation
- Ensure documentation is accurate and submitted as required
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
- Exposure to plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of technical drawings
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
