As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sushi dishes, while maintaining strict standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality, and ensuring guest satisfaction through your dynamic and courteous service.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare sushi ingredients and dishes according to Kobe standards
- Set up, maintain, and break down the sushi bar and prep area
- Interact with guests, take special requests, and accommodate dietary needs
- Deliver sushi orders and ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and assist with inventory
- Working effectively with the other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrates integrity, teamwork, hardwork, respect, and a positive attitude
- Able to communicate clearly and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain in a stationary position and/or move about the workspace for extended periods.
- Must be able to frequently move and position equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs and reach or adjust items at various heights.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
