Every dollar that passes through Ko-Kwel Casino Resort must be carefully counted, recorded, and secured. As a Soft Count Team Member, you help protect the integrity of our operations by ensuring accurate countroom practices and precise recordkeeping. This role is essential to maintaining compliance, safeguarding assets, and supporting smooth casino operations. The ideal candidate brings attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and a team-first attitude that helps build trust across the organization.

What you bring to the table

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Keep the countroom safe, clean, and organized; report safety concerns right away so issues can be addressed quickly.
• Perform daily countroom activities in line with established internal controls and procedures.
• Use counting machines efficiently and accurately, ensuring results are always precise.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for all assigned tasks.
• Protect company assets and confidential information by following security procedures at all times.
• Support your teammates during count processes, stepping in where needed to keep things running smoothly.
• Be professional, approachable, and dependable-look neat, greet others with a smile, use names when you can, listen carefully, and take action to make others feel respected and cared for.
• Follow all company policies and procedures consistently.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

Soft count work requires focus, attention to detail, and long periods of standing. You'll spend much of your shift on your feet, handling cash, paperwork, and operating counting equipment. The role also involves frequent walking, bending, twisting, and occasional kneeling, along with lifting up to 40 pounds. You'll need steady hands and clear focus to handle both paperwork and machines efficiently. The casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke on a regular basis, and the job will often require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Just as important, you'll need to manage stress well, stay calm under pressure, and respond appropriately to challenging situations.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of cash handling experience with proven accuracy in keeping paperwork balanced.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in any countroom capacity.
• General knowledge of cage and casino operations helpful, but not required.
• Team-oriented approach with a professional appearance and attitude.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
• Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
