Job Description NYS OGS Award #23246 Introduction Through this RFQ, NERIC, a division of Capital Region BOCES, seeks to utilize NYS OGS Award #23057 to obtain temporary staffing to assist with school Testing Operations including, but not limited to, printing, packaging, shipping, intake, scanning, and filing.
The schedule and number of individuals needed, as indicated on Attachment #12, is tentative and subject to change.
The objective of this solicitation is to obtain the services of temporary worker(s) to augment existing staff on a short-term basis, for the duration of the assessment period. There is no full-time position being filled or offered as a result of this work. Candidates will be working and training alongside someone else.
NERIC reserves the option to make awards to multiple Contractors as deemed necessary to fill the needs of the organization.
Work Requirements Work tasks include but are not limited to the following, listed in order of importance: Receiving and unpacking mail Alphabetizing and organizing information Using scanning machines Use of Printing Machines Basic Data entry and lookup Basic e-mail communication Record/note keeping Paper filing
Experience of NYS assessments is helpful but not required. This person will work collaboratively with others to print, prepare for mailing, and mail approximately 500 schools answer sheets for purposes of NYS assessments. Additionally, selected people will intake mail for processing through multiple means. Training will be provided for all processes and procedures. Due to the time sensitive nature of school assessment data, this work is steady paced and intense with defined deadlines. Applicants must be able to handle the demands of the work environment including lifting and moving reams of paper, packages, stacks of paper as well as continuous movement within the environment.
Applicants are required to have reliable transportation as the work location is not on a direct bus line.
All applicants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement due to the nature of the documents being handled.
