We are looking for a skilled OD/ID Grinding Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a machinist who thrives on tight tolerances, technical challenges, and high-quality craftsmanship.
Our grinding department specializes in fine finishing operations, not heavy stock removal. Most work involves customer-supplied precision components, requiring exceptional attention to detail and care in handling.

What Youβll Do
π Hatboro, PA | Full-Time
You will become an expert in a range of grinding processes including:
Grinding between centers
Chucking OD grinding
Chucking ID grinding
Advanced non-round grinding
Typical jobs are short-run, high-precision operations, ranging from a few hours to several days.
You will regularly work with tolerances such as:
Β±.0002" diameter tolerances
50 millionths roundness tolerances
Tight geometric tolerances requiring exceptional accuracy
Operate Advanced Grinding Equipment
You will operate a variety of high-precision grinding machines including:
Kellenberger Kel-Vista (3 machines)
CNC conversational programming
Multi-tool setups
Kellenberger Kel-Vita
Same as above with non-round grinding capability
Kellenberger Universal
Manual precision grinder requiring strong machine feel and craftsmanship
Jones & Shipman CNC Grinder
Conversational programming
Between-centers grinding
Work in a High-Precision Environment
Track job time accurately through job clock-in/clock-out
Follow scheduled job lists created by the supervisor
Work closely with Quality Assurance technicians on critical inspections
Handle customer components with extreme care to minimize scrap
Maintain a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and precision

Experience
Experience in OD/ID grinding preferred
Background in precision machining or grinding operations
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Education
Technical school or machining apprenticeship a plus

Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances
Strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements
This position involves both shop floor and technical work, including:
Standing at machines for up to 10 hours per day
Walking the shop floor regularly
Lifting up to 50 lbs or more
Occasional computer use for programming and documentation
