Portland Pump Company (PPC) is seeking a Laborer to join their team in Scarborough, ME. The Laborer will spend the majority of their time working on location with a crew. Travel is required including frequent out of town travel for installs.
\n- 2-3 years of experience in construction settings
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of construction operations and safety required.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record and own transportation
- Out of town/state travel required with some overnight travel for work.
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment
- Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks
- Starting hourly rate of $23.00 per hour
- 11 Paid Holidays, plus early shut down for 2 additional holidays.

- Following the direction of the Certified Tank Installer (CTI), assist and perform day to day construction needs such as digging, shoveling, layout and equipment installation.
- Load, carry, and set up tools, machinery, and materials needed for daily tasks.
- Operate construction equipment and machinery under supervision, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Work with excavating and help prepare area. Dig trenches, compact earth, and backfill holes.
- Assist with the installation, assembly, and repair of petroleum systems.
- Assist in site clean-up.
- Follow safety procedures and report any issues to the site supervisor immediately.
- Complete daily tasks as assigned by the Project Manager (CTI) and Operations Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
